The 11th Annual Purple Diamond Awards Masquerade Gala is a black-tie fundraising celebration honoring exceptional leaders, advocates, and changemakers while raising critical awareness and support for survivors of domestic violence and families experiencing crisis.

Hosted by The Black Fairy Godmother Foundation, the gala will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Brookside Banquets in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The evening will welcome approximately 200 guests for a red-carpet experience, awards presentation, fine dining, entertainment, and inspiring stories of resilience and community impact. The program will be hosted by PIX11 anchor Vanessa Freeman and feature a special performance by Grammy-nominated recording artist Shanice, with national gun-safety advocate and author Shannon Watts as a featured speaker.

Funds raised through the Purple Diamond Awards will help The Black Fairy Godmother Foundation provide emergency assistance, food support, housing assistance, scholarships, and other resources that help families move from crisis toward stability. A central goal of this year’s gala is to expand relocation support for mothers and children escaping domestic violence and homelessness, helping survivors leave unsafe situations and begin rebuilding their lives in safe, stable housing.

I am Simone Gordon, founder and CEO of The Black Fairy Godmother Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women, children, and families move from crisis toward stability. Through emergency assistance, food support, housing assistance, scholarships, and community partnerships, our foundation provides direct help to families facing domestic violence, homelessness, financial hardship, and other urgent circumstances.

My advocacy and community work have been featured by Good Morning America, The Kelly Clarkson Show, People Magazine, The New York Times, and the Tory Burch Foundation. I am also the founder of the Purple Diamond Awards, an annual fundraising gala that has honored exceptional changemakers and strengthened support for vulnerable families for more than a decade.
