About the event

The Ooru Beat Drop is envisioned as a traveling series; bringing together both emerging and established beatboxers to gather for an evening of beatbox battle and open community-jams as a way to connect.

This alive event whose first edition was held at Offbeat Cafe & Studio on September 5th 2026 and saw a successful turnout of about 30 beatboxers combined a friendly 1-v-1 beatbox battle, loop-station showcases and an exchange of ideas. Through Picci Ooru and in partnership with BBX India, we hope to create a movement for beatboxing community and revive the momentum.

I’m Raghuram Indla, Founder of Picci Ooru and an Art Experience Curator working at the intersection of artists, audiences and live experiences.

My journey has moved through filmmaking, design, theatre and independent art communities, which shaped my belief that artists need more than a stage—they need spaces where they can connect, experiment, collaborate and build communities around their work.

Through Picci Ooru, I’m building an artist-first ecosystem that curates and creates live, immersive experiences while connecting emerging artists with audiences, venues and collaborators.

The Ooru Beat Drop is part of this vision: creating a recurring space for beatboxers and music communities to meet, perform, compete, jam and grow together.

With Picci Ooru × BBX India, we are working to bring more visibility and momentum to Bengaluru's beatboxing community through live experiences built around artists and the people who love their craft.
