Trip Across Africa is Montréal's Black History Month Afro dance show, presented by Afrovybz Canada. It isn't a recital — it's a journey. Directed by founder Loïc Reyel, a cast of 50+ dancers takes the audience across the continent country by country, through the dance and music of South Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo, Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire and more, told as a single story. Now in its 7th edition (February 20, 2027), the show has played to a full house every year and moves into a 700–1000-seat theatre with full cinematic production — lighting, projection, and filmed narrative segments. Afrovybz Canada's motto is "All nations, one passion": the cast and audience span African, Caribbean, Asian, Canadian, European, Latin and Arab backgrounds, making it one of the most multicultural rooms in the city each February.
Because you reach a real audience twice — in the room and online. Six editions, full house every time, roughly 500 attendees per night and 800 in 2027, overwhelmingly Montréal-based adults aged 25–44. Behind the show sit two channels with 8.7M+ combined followers: founder Loïc Reyel, creator of the Calm Down challenge, one of the most replicated choreographies in TikTok history and Afrovybz Canada, Montreal's #1 Afro dance school. Partners get dedicated branded content, not just a logo — choreography integrations, rehearsal and behind-the-scenes series, on-stage recognition, on-site activation, client benefits like pre-sale access and VIP seating, and a post-event report on content performance and attendance. The event also funds the Afrovybz scholarship, which sends students on international tours, and has partnered with charities including Invisible Kids Academy. For brands looking to show up authentically in Black and multicultural Montréal during Black History Month, this is a partner with a six-year track record.
I'm Ariel Fitz-Patrick, Executive Producer of Trip Across Africa 2027. I'm a Montréal-based recording artist signed to Motown Gospel, a published author with Hachette (Imma See for Myself), and a content creator with roughly 6 million followers across platforms. I've built audiences, run campaigns, and delivered projects with major partners for years — I know what a brand needs to see before and after it spends.
I've been part of Afrovybz Canada since the very first edition of this show, alongside founder Loïc Reyel, and I've handled the visual and on-screen content for every edition to date. For 2027 I'm formally running production and partnerships. That means the person you're dealing with isn't a first-timer pitching an idea: it's someone who has been in the room for all six editions, knows exactly what it takes to fill it, and is accountable for delivering what we promise — including a post-event report on content performance and attendance.
