About the event

My name is Sherita Hanks, Founder of Strong Is the New Sexy Foundation, and I am excited to announce our upcoming I Booted Cancer Brunch, taking place on Sunday, October 25th at Nomi Village in North Miami, FL.

This special event is more than just a brunch it is a celebration of strength, survivorship, hope, and resilience. We are bringing together breast cancer survivors, supporters, family, friends, and members of our community to celebrate those who have fought, those still fighting, and those we carry in our hearts.

Our theme, “Strong Is the New Sexy,” represents the strength and confidence of women who refuse to let cancer define them.

My name is Sherita Hanks, I'm a Wife, Mother of 2 daughters and 2 Grand Daughters... At the Age of 37yrs Old I was dianosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer and because of the person I am, I suited up and was ready to fight... My story went to social Media and from there started my NonProfit " Strong is the New Sexy" to be a voice for others thats fighting or scared to check their Breast, I've been able to support alot of women even holding their hand along the way.  With my fight of breast cancer I've had to do 10 rounds of Chemo, 24 weeks of Radiation and 4 different surgeries but even after all that every year I plan an Event to bring awareness to Breast Cancer.

With Losing my Mom at the Age of 1yrs old and father at 14yrs old, My Daughters was my Motivation.
