I’m the organizer of the Black Frederick Festival, a grassroots community event that started with a mission to celebrate and support Black culture and entrepreneurship in Frederick, MD. Over the past three years, the festival has grown to attract thousands of attendees, dozens of Black-owned vendors, and support from community leaders, local organizations, and families from across the region.
