About the event

The Asian Summer Festival (ASF) is an event to showcase different Asian cultural and traditional practices via educational programming, food and entertainment.

The festival will be held on May 24-26, 2025 in the Washington, DC area. The importance of the location lies in its proximity to international diversity, power and travel. People make policies in this city, embassies and diplomats are here, and there are many world-class places of learning, from museums to centers for scientific research.

Festivals are usually events with food and entertainment but the vision for ASF includes educational programming. Why settle for tangential learning when we can have speakers, panelists, food and craft demonstrations, etc. to give people a better understanding of other cultures?

This is an opportunity for Asians, Asian Americans, and individuals with Asian heritage to educate the general public regarding our practices and traditions with an annual event that celebrates us.

It is free to the public and will be widely accessible due to its location next to the Metro. It is important for our stories to be told, so that more people can become bridges instead of walls.

Sponsors not only show their support of AAPI month, they will also get the chance to promote their company and brand to thousands of participants! The venue is very accessible, located next to the Tysons Corner Metro stop, and on the property of Tysons Corner Center, the most popular mall in the Washington, DC area which averages over 35,000 visitors per day. Many of our attendees will be coming from different states and we are expecting a huge turnout because of Memorial Day Weekend.

Sponsors also get the chance to be part of the educational programming to present the sessions on tea ceremony, martial arts, kimono accessories, and many more!

My name is Anya and I'm the founder of the Asian Summer Festival (ASF), an event to showcase different Asian cultural and traditional practices via educational programming, food and entertainment. This event is free and open to the public, so we need your help!

I have years of experience in organizing gala balls, receptions and educational programming for major trade shows.

My passion lies in educating others and building communities. In combining the two, I've created the festival, which will be held on May 24-26, 2025 in the Washington, DC area.
